Well this weekend has been manic to say the least - I guess it will prepare me for the most frought week of the year for us!!
When I got my pc back I signed up for the My Word class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. It took me a while to get into it, but I have to say I thoroughly enjoying it, it seems to have released a whole new creative side of me. In the past I have always just scribbled down the first thing that pops into my head for journalling my lo's, but now I am starting to put a lot more thought into it, indeed that is my starting point.
Last week we were settling back to normality, Abigail has gone back to school and been quite painfree, the hospital appointment is in the morning. I guess we won't find out much more, they will probably just do tests I would imagine and then go back in a few weeks and see what they have found.
On Friday Georgia was supposed to be going to a party, 6 - 8pm I had it written down as from the invitation. We arrived at six, just as the party was finishing. Devastated wasn't the word, it seemed to be worse as all her friends were still there, just getting ready to leave. She was invited to play the following afternoon at the little girl's house whose party it was; and the tears were finally averted by a trip right then to MacDonalds - she hadn't even had her tea!!
On Saturday we did the usual dancing malarky, but that changes next week; Georgia has her exam this week so next Saturday will move to the next class and therefore we can leave home half an hour later.
My team mate Jayne was coming up this way this weekend with her hubby and youngest daughter. They were going to Laura's to drop the things off that people had donated for Lisa's children to make memory books of their mother. She texted me earlier to say they were leaving at eight, due around half ten. We left dancing and came home, just as Georgia and I got home she phoned to say they had just arrived at Laura's. So we collected Sam and off we went. It was fabulous to see her, I have never met her in real life, but we chat on UKS and have chatted a few times at length on the phone.
I did get a shock when I saw her though. You know when you have a pre-conceived idea of what someone looks like, well I really thought I had one, as I was certain I had seen a picture of her either in her profile or in a lo; she was NOTHING like the image in my mind, and I was shocked by that, just hope it didn't show too much - I shall explain to her this week LOL
So after a drink, we left, we had to collect Abigail from dance, have a quick dinner before Georgia went to her friends and Abigail went to a party. Me and Sam went with my mum to Accrington, I wanted to go the Stationary Box which was closing down to get some writing stuff (told you I had the bug LOL)
After we went to collect everyone back up and came home!!
On Sunday I had decided that I would take Abigail to see Charlotte's Web at the cinema. I asked my mum if she would look after the two little ones as Gary wanted to do some stuff around the house. So Ab's and I had some quality mother and daughter time - I think she enjoyed it, although she got sad when Charlotte died!
And so the weekend is almost at an end, I want to do a little more writing for my course later, and prepare evreything so we can hit the ground running in the morning.
This week I am ultra busy, Monday is the hospital, Tuesday I need to make a cake or some buns for Georgia's birthday. I also need to get her presents from either my mums or behind the chair and wrap them ready for Wednesday morning!!
Aside from being her birthday, Georgia has her first ever dance exam. She will be very excited as she will get her hair made up into a bun too for the first time.
Thursday I will be creating a space rocket cake!! Glutton for punishement me!!
I will also probably do the shopping on Thursday ready for the weekend.
Friday sees Sam's third birthday, I can't believe baby Sam is going to be three. I wonder when he will stop being referred to as baby Sam LOL
Georgia has a party to go to on Saturday, and then on Sunday it is her own party - a craft party at home. Told you I was glutton for punishment!! And so Saturday evening I have to create a quite simple cake, but it has a marzipan teddy on the top - do you think a marzipan blob will have the same effect??? LOL
And so that is life up to now
busy busy busy
